Coverage is a reference metric
Keyword coverage uses the target job’s text. It does not contribute to the total match score, which avoids counting the same skill twice. A missing term can also reflect an unsupported synonym or a parsing issue.
There is no universal ATS pass score here
CVFit does not connect to an employer’s applicant tracking system or reproduce its screening rules. It helps you inspect your own text and the job description; you still need to check the employer’s instructions and your final file.
Common questions
Will keyword stuffing improve my application?
Repeating a skill does not count as additional experience. Use accurate examples that explain your role, actions and outcomes instead of adding an unsupported list.
Can this guarantee that my PDF will pass an ATS?
No. The checker shows the text CVFit extracts and the terms it recognizes. Another system may parse the same file differently.
Which resume formats can I start with?
CVFit accepts PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown and RTF for text extraction. Review the extracted text before relying on the analysis, especially with complex layouts or scans.
